Op donderdag 15 augustus, na de Heilige Mis van 17.15 uur in de Krijtberg (gevierd in het Engels en Nederlands), houden we een korte processie met het beeld van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw. Na terugkeer in de kerk sluiten we af met een korte lofdienst aan Maria.

De processie is bedoeld als een bedevaart, met zang en gebed, om door de voorspraak van onze Moeder Maria de zegen van de goede God af te smeken over onze stad, haar inwoners en de vele bezoekers die vaak in grote geestelijke nood verkeren. We rekenen op een grote opkomst bij deze bijzondere viering!

Na de succesvolle vieringen op Goede Vrijdag en Sacramentsdag, waarbij de geloofsgemeenschap van de Krijtberg samen met die van het Begijnhof biddend de straat op ging, willen we nu op het Feest van de Maria-Tenhemelopneming iets soortgelijks doen.

Feast of the Assumption, August 15, following the 5:15 p.m. Holy Mass at the Krijtberg (celebrated in English & Dutch) we will hold a short procession with the statue of Our Lady. Once back in the church, we will conclude with a brief service of praise to Mary.

The procession is intended as a pilgrimage, with singing and prayer, to implore, through the intercession of our Mother Mary, the blessing of the good Lord upon our city, its residents, and the many visitors who are often in such great spiritual need. We are counting on a large turnout for this special celebration!

Following the successful celebrations on Good Friday and Corpus Christi, during which the Krijtberg faith community, together with that of the Begijnhof, took to the streets in prayer, we would now like to do something similar on the Feast of the Assumption.
