In 2017, Catholic student parish ‘Second Coming of Christ - Maranatha’ will exist 55 years, Fr Michael will be 10 years a priest, and he will have been working for 5 years as Tilburg University’s chaplain.
In this occasion, instead of the annual excursion to Rome after Christmas, in 2017 a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to the Holy Land is proposed.
We’ll visit, among other things:
- Nazareth (Annunciation basilica, St.Joseph’s church)
- Mount Tabor
- Cana
- Lake of Galilee
- Mountain of Beatitudes
- Capernaum (with the synagogue and St.Peters’ house)
- Sanctuary of the Multiplication of Loaves
- Church of Peters’ Primacy
- The place on the Jordan where Christ was baptized
- Bethlehem
- Jerusalem (Olive Mountain, place of the Ascension, church of Dominus Flevit; Way of the Cross; Church of the Holy Sepulchre; Mount Sion; Church of the Dormition; Upper Room; West Wall of the Temple)
- Jericho
- Qumran, the Dead Sea
It will be real pilgrimage; made of prayers and visiting Christ’s places. Every day we’ll celebrate Holy Mass in a special place.
All meals & transport (flight from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv, bus transport within the Holy Land; hotels) are included. Insurance (annulment & travel) is not included. If you participate, you should participate in the whole trip, from the beginning to the end, including the whole program.
This pilgrimage unfortunately is not adapted for children or people who have difficulties in walking.
Price Students (Bacherlor/Master, at the time of the registration): € 900,- Non-students: € 1.350,-
